Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first governor of modern Greece, is the most important figure of the modern history of our nation. Aegina, where he arrived, was inaugurated and made this city the first Capital of modern Greece, has the duty to honor his memory and offer. During the celebrations of our island for the Governor Ioannis Kapodistrias, we organize a race which takes place in the center of Aegina.
The Athletic Club “Ο Ο.Α.Κ Aegina” organizes the race named "AGIA MARINA RACES", under the aegis of “Δ.Α.Ο.Α.” (Municipal Sport Organization of Aegina). With the support of the CULTURAL CLUB OF AGIA MARINA-ALONIA-MESAGROS "ΟΙΝΟΗ-ΑΙΓΙΝΑ", the Health Runners Club of Aegina, the Professional Club of Agia Marina, the Radio-Amateur Team of Aegina and the Naval Scout Department of Aegina.

Aegina Fistiki Fest, an international festival dedicated to the product with Protected Designation of Origin, is held by the Municipality of Aegina and the Community Service of the Municipality of Aegina, under the aegis of the Regional Unit of Islands. It is a four day event full of cultural, gastronomic and children entertainment events, talks, tours and seminars, and of course the main trade fair which spreads along the main beach avenue of the city.
